Sr SAP Project Systems, Asset Accounting, & PMMO

Main Sail has an immediate opening for a Senior SAP Project Systems, Asset Accounting, & PMMO Consultant for a Department of Energy client. Main Sail is a Veteran-owned small business with 20 years experience supporting Defense and Energy systems and missions. The professional will be responsible for leading and executing complex projects, from conception to implementation, ensuring the delivery of efficient solutions aligned with our clients' needs.
Responsibilities
- Lead and execute SAP PS module implementation and optimization projects, focusing on Customer reimbursable, Revenue, Bid and Proposal, Overhead, PMMO Cost plus, Public Sector/services, A&D, Resource-Related Billing(RRB) and CAPEX Project Types.
- Analyze and map clients' business processes, identifying improvement opportunities and proposing innovative solutions.
- Configure and customize the SAP PS system, Asset Accounting and PMMO according to clients' needs, ensuring integration with other SAP modules.
- Perform testing and validation of implemented solutions, ensuring system quality and functionality.
- Provide technical support and training to end-users, ensuring efficient system utilization.
- Develop technical and functional project documentation, including specifications, manuals, and reports.
- Act as a point of contact between the technical team and clients, ensuring clear and effective communication.
- Stay updated on SAP PS news and trends, continuously seeking to enhance knowledge and skills.
Requirements
- Proven experience in SAP PS module implementation and optimization projects to analyze, design, configure and support.
- Strong knowledge of Projects system in Customer reimbursable, Cost plus, Public Sector/services, PMMO projects(WBS, networks, activity, Internal orders based), Resource-Related Billing and CAPEX scenario projects.
- Hands on solutioning experience with Resource-Related Billing (DIP Profile),Coding masks , Project profiles, costing sheets/activity types, time entry integration/CATS or similar, interest calculations, and customer projects for in public sector.
- Ability to design, demo, analyze New Asset Accounting solution with process knowledge of Asset Accounting for Public sector, compliance, Asset Verifications, integration with Project systems, allocations, settlements, Master data, conversion, and compliance reporting.
- Knowledge of SAP PS integration with other SAP modules (Funds Management, General Accounting, CO, MM, SD and Asset Accounting).
- Ideal candidate should be well versed with PMMO solution including but not limited to Maintain Movement Types, Pegging Logic and Exception Handling for Scrap, Surplus and Stock differences, Run Profile Messaging, Distribution Profile and Setting,
- Performed Grouping for WBS Elements, MRP Areas, Plants and Materials Requirement Planning
- Hands on experience with Networks and Activities for Labor Cost and Material Components with MRP Reservations, WBS Element/Network Activities for Planned Independent Requirements
- Ability to analyze business processes and identify improvement opportunities.

- SAP PS certification (desirable)

Additional Details:
- Start/End date: 4/19/2025 8/25/2025
- Onsite/Travel Expectation: Up to 50% (2 trips per month) reimbursable travel to the client site possible during short key phases; otherwise expect up to 25% (1 trip per month).
