What are the responsibilities and job description for the Youth Programs Aide position at Main Salvation Army?
OVERVIEW:
The Youth Program Aide is responsible for carrying out tasks related to the programs of the Community Center and assist with various duties as assigned by the Coordinator and/or Director.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Plan and coordinate youth activities and events throughout the year
- Work with the local schools and service clubs to promote programs
- Responsible for working with volunteers and youth to provide a positive experience for all
- Adhere to and implement Safe from Harm
- Other related duties as required
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
- High school diploma or equivalent (required)
- Experience working with youth
SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
- Team player
- Organizational skills
- Ability to multi-task
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
- Ability to lift up to 25 lbs. (Usually file boxes)
EQUIPMENT USED:
- Modern Office Equipment and Relevant Software
