We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Pharmacy Technician to join our team. Duties
- Assist pharmacists in the preparation and dispensing of medications, including IV infusion and inhalation therapies.
- Provide exceptional patient service by answering inquiries and addressing concerns regarding medications.
- Administer medications as directed by licensed pharmacists while adhering to aseptic techniques.
- Maintain accurate records of medication administration and patient profiles.
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure optimal medication management for patients.
- Utilize knowledge of medical terminology to effectively communicate with team members and healthcare providers.
- Ensure compliance with pharmacy regulations and standards, including safety protocols in the handling of pharmaceuticals.
- Participate in inventory management, including ordering, stocking, and expiration date checks of medications.
Requirements
- Certification as a Pharmacy Technician is preferred.
- Previous experience in a pharmacy setting is highly desirable, especially in critical care or acute care environments.
- Knowledge of IV infusion processes and aseptic techniques is a plus.
- Strong understanding of medical terminology related to pharmaceuticals and patient care.
- Excellent communication skills with a focus on patient service.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
- Proficiency in using pharmacy software systems for medication management.
