Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Expediter to join our dynamic team in a fast-paced culinary environment. The Expediter plays a crucial role in ensuring that food orders are prepared for proper delivery to guests, maintaining high standards of quality and presentation. This position requires excellent communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with kitchen staff and front-of-house personnel to ensure a seamless dining experience for our guests.
Responsibilities
- Coordinate food orders between the kitchen and service staff to ensure timely delivery.
- Monitor the preparation of dishes to ensure they meet quality standards and specifications.
- Communicate effectively with cooks and servers regarding order status, special requests, and any potential delays.
- Assist in food preparation as needed, including plating and garnishing dishes.
- Ensure that all food handling procedures comply with health and safety regulations.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the expediting area, including proper storage of utensils and equipment.
- Provide exceptional customer service by addressing any concerns or special requests from guests promptly.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in food service or culinary roles is preferred, particularly in restaurant or banquet settings.
- Knowledge of food handling procedures and safety regulations.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
- Must be able to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
