About Us:
Join our charming boutique hotel nestled in the heart of Columbia, IL, just minutes outside of St. Louis. We pride ourselves on providing exceptional service and a unique guest experience. We are looking for a dedicated and detail-oriented Hotel Accountant to manage our financial operations and support our hotel and restaurant endeavors.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee all hotel, restaurant and event center accounting functions, including accounts payable and receivable, general ledger management, and financial reporting.
- Prepare monthly financial statements and analysis to ensure accurate reporting and compliance with budgetary guidelines.
- Manage HR and payroll processes, including employee onboarding, benefits administration, and payroll processing.
- Collaborate with management to develop and implement financial strategies that enhance operational efficiency and profitability.
- Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations related to accounting and payroll.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Minimum of 3 years of accounting experience, preferably in the hospitality industry.
- Strong knowledge of hotel and restaurant accounting practices.
- Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Excellent organizational and communication skills.
