Necessary Qualifications and Skills
- We welcome Certified Hygienists of all experience levels to apply
- Active Hygienist License in the state of New York
- Warm, compassionate and professional chairside manner - we want our patients to feel well taken care of!
- General understanding of standard dental software, including Dexis and Eaglesoft
- Excellent communicator - must be fluent in both English and Spanish
- A self-starting team player - you’re there to help when needed, but also own your work without direct supervision
Preferred Qualifications
- Active Dental Hygienist certification in NJ
- X-ray certification in NY and/or NJ
- Conversant in French Creole
Accountabilities
- End to end management of patient hygiene appointments
- Educating patients on proper oral health techniques - instilling a sense of careful ownership of personal oral hygiene in our patient base
- Patient screenings, both pre- and post-up, providing an extra set of eyes and hands to our doctors
- Taking X-rays when the need arises
