Schedule

Full-Time: Sunday-Thursday Midnight-10am

Position End Date: approximately 5/10/2025, with possibility of becoming a regular employee.

Summary

Provide supportive presence for Clinical Staff in all areas of programming. Interaction with residents including, clinical activities, transport to off – site services, recreation, work projects and volunteer activities.

Essential Duties And Responsibilities

  • Maintain a safe environment
  • Ensure the welfare of the clients
  • Meet with staff at change of shift to get direction for the shift
  • Engage residents in the use of Independent Living Skill activities
  • Supervise residents in chores and responsibilities
  • Supervise residents in meal prep, at meals, and at cleanup
  • Be available to residents for support, encouragement and direction when needed
  • Conduct regular house and bed checks according to program’s procedures
  • Perform other duties as assigned, which could include but may not be limited to: Cleaning, Filing, Copying, Baking/cooking, Snow removal from emergency exits at all times, Purchasing of program supplies, to include food items
  • Supervise and participate with residents during recreational, vocational and educational activities including meal preparation, cleaning, hygiene, nutrition and daily chores
  • Maintain Standards that apply to Confidentiality and 42 CFR/HIPAA
  • Must be knowledgeable and able to demonstrate the Canon of Ethics, healthy professional relationships and boundaries with clients and co-workers
  • Ensure the delivery of prompt medical attention in cases of illness or accident, report any such incidents to the Program Director/Supervisor, complete untoward incident reports and documentation as required. Utilize the On-call system as needed.
  • Obtain breath and urine samples for AOD testing
  • Attend staff meetings, in-service and conference/trainings as assigned
  • Convey information inter/intra agency
  • Be sensitive and responsible to public relations within the community
  • Maintain basic knowledge of the physical plant
  • Utilize program consumables and supplies cost effectively
  • Transport residents to appointments and activities as needed
  • Safeguard, monitor and have oversight of self-administration of residents’ medication as prescribed
  • Engage in supervision as assigned
  • Perform other duties as assigned

QUALIFICATIONS

EDUCATION And/or EXPERIENCE

Required: Must have a High School Diploma or GED,

Preferred: College Degree and experience in Substance Abuse, Mental Health, Physical Education and/or Recreation.

Other Job Requirements

  • Must maintain a valid Drivers License, as specified in the personnel policies.
  • Must comply with all laws and policies concerning confidentiality, security, and client rights as specified in the employee manual, and 42 CFR Part 2 and HIPAA.
  • Must maintain current certification and/or training in CPR and First Aid, and any other areas specified by state law and agency regulation.
