Client Services Associate- Financial Planning Assistant –
Step into an instrumental role as an integral team member of a successful and growing financial planning practice. Help conduct the smooth operation of a fast-paced and friendly financial planning office.
The client service associate will work in association with the advisor and team members towards helping clients achieve their financial goals.
This role provides client relationship support through managing, gathering and analyzing client data, helping prepare preliminary financial plans and other client deliverables, working with clients to resolve issues as needed. The client service associate also acts as a liaison to answer client questions. This position allows the advisor more time to focus energy on client acquisition and deepening the client relationship and the assurance he needs to know that his practice is being maintained and supported within the Ameriprise Financial guidelines.
Responsibilities – will change over time to meet the needs of the practice and can include other duties as assigned by the advisor.
- Prepare and submit new business /track completion forms to the Home Office and resolve processing issues
- Answer questions. Provide readily available information to clients and support clients by performing daily transactions, problem resolution and technical support.
- Screening and/or selectively referring callers: schedule client appointments and prepare agendas and forms for appointments.
- Foster and maintain positive client relationships to support the practice
- Actively calling clients on a quarterly basis.
- Researching multiple strategies and develop portfolio/robust product solution recommendations that will fit the client’s risk tolerance and time frame.
- Review and researching client account performance, Mutual funds, Stocks and Bonds and work with the advisor/team to rebalance client accounts as needed
- Creating marketing pieces and coordinating compliance approval, as well as implementing marketing plans.
Minimum Qualifications:
- College degree
- 2 years related experience a must in office administration and financial investment industry
- Willingness to study for and pass exams for federal licensing and registration for securities, including Series 7 License
- Experience administrating social media accounts a plus

- Polite and clear phone manner with goal to consistently put clients/prospects minds at ease
- Ability to adhere to rules and regulations as stated and required by advisor and Ameriprise Financial
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $24.00 - $27.00 per hour
