Production Supervisor

Job Title: Production Supervisor - Day Shift

Reports to: Operations Manager

Back-Up for: other Production Supervisors

Backed-Up by: other Production Supervisors

Classification: Salary Exempt

Wage: Based on knowledge and experience

Hours: TBD---expected to be with designated team a majority of the time working

Objective:

· Effectively manage work teams to meet customer demand with quality products.

· Provide hands-on oversight of manufacturing work centers.

· Increase productivity through continuous improvement and track performance with Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).

· Positively support Safety and Food Safety objectives.

Duties and Responsibilities:

· Assign and prioritize employees’ daily tasks and jobs.

· Conduct team huddles throughout the day to properly manage changes and performance expectations.

· Ensure employees are following Safety and Food Safety policies and procedures.

· Routinely monitor production parameters to ensure quality and productivity are maintained throughout the day.

· Help on the production lines as needed.

· Coach, mentor, and train employees as needed.

· Maintain accurate and appropriate production records and reports.

· Handle employee complaints, conflict, and discipline at the supervisor’s level.

· Conduct mid-year and annual performance reviews of personnel.

· Verify the timecards of employees on a weekly basis.

· Conduct required safety and housekeeping tours.

· Complete incident reports and investigations in a timely manner.

Requirements of Position:

· Experience in a leadership position is preferred.

· Manufacturing experience in Food and Beverage is preferred.

· Proven ability to multi-task and prioritize responsibilities.

· Strong analytical skills, as well as strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to accomplish routine goals yet react quickly to changing priorities.

· Strong influential, collaboration and situational leadership skills.

· Ability to read, analyze, manipulate, and interpret data.

· Proficiency with Microsoft Office (primarily Word and Excel)

· Ability to drive performance improvements.

· Ability to lift 60 pounds.

· Manual dexterity to weigh, measure, push, pull, lift, package and otherwise manipulate various tools and equipment.

· Maintain and enforce Food Safety and SQF requirements.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $50,000.00 - $60,000.00 per year
