Job Overview :
The Island House Newport, a brand-new high-end lodging property opening in Spring 2025, is hiring a General Manager to open and operate the 24-key business. This is an excellent opportunity for a hotel rooms leader who wants a strong focus on directly enhancing the guest experience. Responsibilities :
- Lead a small team of front desk, maintenance, housekeepers
- Ensure the highest quality in guest service standards
- Engage and manage vendor relationships
- Optimize guest experience at all touchpoints
- Manage rates, group leads / contracts, and marketing initiatives
- Build relationships with neighborhood and community
- Work in partnership with ownership company to establish smooth procedures for accounting / admin / property maintenance (shared services)
