What are the responsibilities and job description for the Piano Teacher position at Main Street Music?
Main Street Music is looking for a new piano teacher to teach in person lessons as well as virtual lessons. We're opening a second location at 508 Hurfville - Cross Keys Road, Sewell, NJ 08080 in January of 2025 and that is where this position will take place. This is right across the street from Washington Township High School. A college degree in music is preferred but not required. Prior teaching experience or performance experience is required. Schedules are consolidated to minimize breaks in between lessons whenever possible.
We have comprehensive studio policies that ensure schedule / income stability for our teachers.
We use paid advertising to help keep teachers' schedules full year-round.
Dedicated administrative staff work Monday through Saturday and handle all administrative duties including scheduling, billing, signing up new students, etc.

The studio average teacher rate of pay is $40 / hour. Teachers are paid per lesson a unique rate based on the lesson length.
Teachers are paid regardless of student cancellations.
