JOB DESCRIPTION
Job Title: Floral Assistant/Delivery Driver
Supervisor: Florist/Gift Shop Manager
Classification: Non-exempt
Supervisory Role: No

General Description:
The Floral Assistant/Delivery Driver will be responsible for answering phones, greeting customers, and taking orders for floral arrangements, and completing sales. This position requires one-on-one interaction with customers and excellent communication skills. In addition to providing world- class service to customers, the Floral Assistant/Delivery Driver is responsible for maintaining the floral counter area in a neat, clean, & orderly manner. The Floral Assistant/Delivery Driver will make local floral deliveries to customers' homes, houses of worship & funeral homes, hospitals, etc. in a company-owned vehicle.

• Processing of fresh flowers and attending to their weekly needs
• Answer telephone and take orders
• Wait on customers in flower shop
• Make local flower deliveries as assigned
• Perform other duties as assigned by management

Supervisory Role:

This position has no supervisory responsibilities

• Available to work flexible schedule, as needed, including evenings, weekends, holidays
• Ability to frequently lift and carry boxes weighing up to 25 pounds
• Standing for extended periods of time
• Bending / stooping

• Demonstrated ability to design high-end floral arrangements
• Ability to see details at close range
• Good organizational and time management skills
• Maintain a high level of professionalism in all interactions with customers
• Identify and resolve problematic situations in a timely manner
• Work well independently and as part of a team
• Use excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Valid/clean NYS drivers license

Required Education and Competencies:

• High school degree or GED preferred
• Must be able to organize, plan and prioritize work

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $18.00 - $22.00 per hour
