Main Street Professionals is the leading Tax & Legal Education platform in America. The founder, Mark J. Kohler, is a best-selling author, founder of legal, tax and financial firms, national touring speaker and influencer. We are seeking a talented Social Media Assistant Manager to take the brand and business to the next level. (No legal or tax experience required.)
The ideal candidate is a tech savvy problem solver with deep experience in the successful management of the back end of social media platforms (Sprout, Hubspot, YouTube, Shopify, Wordpress), project management and content calendar creation. You have a passion for social media and a proven track record of developing successful social media campaigns by increasing clicks, engagement, sales, and adapting strategies based on data-driven insights. You bring a positive attitude with a drive towards teamwork, communication, and strategic solutions. You will be responsible for successfully managing all social media platforms. This is not a content creation role.
Essential Responsibilities
- Oversee the management of social media channels, including publishing posts, social listening and community management.
- Oversee day-to-day management of social media channels, including post scheduling, publishing, and proactive community engagement.
- Monitor and respond to comments, messages, and inquiries to foster trust and engagement with our audience of tax professionals and entrepreneurs.
- Execute strategic social listening practices to track brand sentiment, audience feedback, and competitor activity.
- Analyze trends and conversations to extract insights that inform content strategy, improve engagement, and support the growth of the Main Street Tax Professionals brand.
- Serve as the go-to expert on social campaigns.
- Stay informed about the latest social media trends and help bring new ideas to the internal team and help keep the team current on trends and best practices.
- Create comprehensive social media strategies that align with our marketing goals and products.
- Collaborate with the internal creative team in the creation of content strategy for all social media platforms.
- Oversee content creation and distribution across various social media platforms, ensuring high-quality and engaging posts.
Basic Qualifications
- Degree in marketing communications, public relations, advertising or journalism
- 4-6 years of experience in social media management/project management
- Strong written, editing and communications skills
- 3 years of influencer and affiliate marketing experience
- Empathy and responsiveness to support a professional audience of tax advisors, business owners, and aspiring entrepreneurs.
- Able to create simple dashboards or reports for marketing leadership with insights and next steps.
- Develop influencer and affiliate marketing strategies and campaigns that align with our goals and objectives.
- Manage the execution of influencer marketing strategies with our PR team, including identifying and recruiting influential content creators, content deliverables and calendars.
- Manage paid social campaigns, including strategic recommendations on campaign targeting, placements and ad types, campaign optimizations and budget management
- Monitor and analyze social media metrics to assess campaign performance and ROI
- Educate team on everything social media, from social media strategy to developing ambassador programs
- Assist in new business RFPs and pitches as required
- Support and promote the company at quarterly events
- Schedule content (includes UTM links for posts collaborator requests)
- Develop social strategies and conduct social audits with actionable outcomes and recommendations
- Continuously optimize for engagement and conversion
- Pull reporting weekly and monthly, sharing performance to goals and insights (key drivers, wins, opportunities)
- Keep stakeholders informed through ongoing communication weekly and monthly
- Ensure tracking in place to measure performance
- Glean insights from social monitoring tools
- Monitor comments, replying and providing customer care support as needed
- Data-Driven Insights: Utilize social media and influencer marketing analytics tools to monitor campaign performance and provide actionable insights
- Launch new platforms that align with brand, target audience and new, emerging trends
- Ensure messaging aligns with brand calendar
- Detailed analytical skills, understanding success metrics (reach, clicks, engagement, shares, likes, followers)
- Comfortable pulling reporting via platforms & directing actionable insights to meet goals
- Critical thinker, leveraging expertise to optimize each marketing channel
- Ability to track conversations and brand mentions, analyze sentiment, and provide actionable insights for the marketing team.
- Comfortable pulling and interpreting social data (reach, engagement, follower growth, CTR).
- Strong interpersonal skills to authentically engage with followers, manage DMs/comments, and resolve concerns in a professional tone.
- Experience with social media scheduling and management tools
- Strong leadership and team management abilities
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple projects simultaneously
- Can pivot quickly when campaigns underperform, or social sentiment shifts.
- Always looking to test and optimize (e.g., A/B test messaging, post timing).
- Expertise with Sprout Social, Hubspot, YouTube, Shopify, Wordpress, GA4, SEMRush, Meta Business Suite and LinkedIn analytics.
