Main Street Realty is looking for a positive and energetic Leasing Consultant for the Richmond area. We are looking for candidates that can maintain compliance, create unique and memorable experiences for every prospect and resident, and have the ability to handle a wide variety of tasks. Ideal candidates will be professional, proactive, friendly and superb in sales. Some responsibilities of Leasing Consultants will include but are not limited to:
Responsibilities
- Present apartments, houses, or other properties to prospective clients in a persuasive manner
- Assist Property Manager in discovering suitable tenants
- Promote unoccupied properties through various media and advertising techniques
- Evaluate clients’ requirements and financial prosperity to make personalized presentations
- Provide accurate information on the different features of properties
- Validate application information and references
- Keep abreast of the property market status
- Ensure proper maintenance and inspect properties periodically
- Field incoming calls from prospects and residents alike
Skills
- Proven working experience as a leasing consultant
- Minimum of 2 years of tax credit experience
- Basic understanding of MS Office
- Customer-focused approach
- Concise and tactful communication
- Attention to detail
- Computer proficiency
- Ability to focus with occasional interruption
- Highly motivated with the ability to take initiative and lead
- Conducts all business in accordance with company policies and procedures, Fair Housing, Americans with Disabilities Act, Fair Credit Reporting Act, and all other laws pertaining to apartments
- While the following are not required, they are the characteristics of a stand-out candidate
- Yardi experience
- HCCP designation
Normal Work Schedule:5 days per week (40 hours) Monday-Friday.
