What are the responsibilities and job description for the Finance Administrative Assistant position at Main Street Skowhegan?
Main Street Skowhegan is seeking a detail-oriented and organized, part-time Finance & Administrative Assistant to support daily operations. This individual will assist with financial transactions, mail processing, donor and volunteer coordination, and general administrative tasks to ensure the smooth functioning of our organization.
Key Responsibilities
- Process incoming and outgoing mail, including sorting and distributing as necessary.
- Handle income & expense processing; maintain accurate records.
- Cut checks and reconcile accounts.
- Track grant expenditures and reporting.
- Manage invoices, ensuring timely processing and organization.
- Process credit card transactions and maintain accurate financial records.
- Coordinate donor and volunteer recognition, including thank you cards.
- Answer phones and provide assistance or direct inquiries appropriately.
- Assist with scheduling meetings, events, and other organizational needs.
- Assist with filing, data entry, and document management.
- Provide general administrative support as needed.
Required Qualifications
- Prior experience in bookkeeping roles preferred.
- Extremely strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
- Ability to handle sensitive financial information with confidentiality.
- Strong communication skills and ability to work independently.
- Proficiency in Google Drive, Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel), and Quickbooks online.
Hours & Compensation
This is a part-time position with flexible hours, estimated at 20-25 hours per week. Compensation based on experience.
