We are looking for a self-motivated individual with a strong work ethic to join our Packaging Team within the Production Department to conduct daily packaging operations (bottling and kegging beer). First and foremost, the candidate must have a positive attitude and work well with others. Position is full time, typically 40 hours per week, and based in Freeport, Maine. Duties And Responsibilities
- Work collaboratively with the packaging team to ensure that high quality standards are met in all packaging operations
- Maintain a safe, clean, and organized work environment and follow safe work practices
- Adhere to Maine Beer Company’s packaging SOPs to complete daily packaging responsibilities
- Adhere to appropriate SOPs to ensure minimal oxygen pick-up during packaging operations (e.g. capping on foam, monitoring DO during kegging, etc.)
- Perform CIP of tanks, hoses, etc.
- Assist other production personnel (warehouse, brewers and cellar operators) as needed
- Perform routine maintenance tasks of packaging equipment as needed
- Perform routine cleaning tasks of packaging equipment and work areas as needed
- Production brewery experience, particularly in the packaging discipline highly preferred, but willing to train the right candidate
- Ability to multi-task while working safely and efficiently
- Ability to follow established SOPs
- Ability to lift up to 60 lbs repeatedly and work standing on concrete floors for prolonged periods of time
- Ability to work with little to no supervision
- Has excellent communication, time management, and organizational skills
- A positive attitude and willingness to help co-workers when needed
- An individual that takes initiative, is proactive and is self-motivated
- Is meticulous about sanitization, and has an appreciation for keeping things clean
- Has great attention to detail
- Schedule flexibility is a plus (e.g. able to work late when needed, able to accommodate changing/rotating schedules)
- Mechanical aptitude is a plus
- Electric pallet jack / fork lift experience a plus but willing to train the right individual
