Title: Nursing Faculty
Bargaining Unit/Salary Level: Salary and Benefits commensurate with the Agreement between the MCCS Trustees and the MEA Faculty Unit. This position is budgeted in the high 40s, lower 50s range.
Responsibilities: Central Maine Community College seeks an instructor with current mental health nursing experience to teach in the Nursing Program. This is a full-time nursing faculty position for the evening and weekend program and begins teaching responsibilities in the January 2025 semester. Position includes classroom, laboratory, and clinical instruction. Psychiatric Clinical rotations are currently 12 hours on Saturdays in the local facilities but may be subject to change based on availability of clinical facilities. Courses are delivered in-person. In addition to instruction, position responsibilities include student advising, curriculum development, assessment and other related duties.
Proof of up-to-date immunizations, current PPD, and current CPR card required.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Nursing with enrollment in an MSN program
- Current unencumbered R.N. Licensure in Maine with either in-patient or out-patient mental health nursing experience.
Preferred Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Master’s degree in Nursing
- Recent clinical experience in psychiatric nursing
- Previous experience teaching Nursing
