Mathematics Instructor—Full Time

Title of Position: Mathematics Faculty Member – Fall 2025 Start
Bargaining Unit / Salary Range: MEA Faculty Unit; $48,846.97 - $58,325.83 Dependent upon Qualifications & Experience.
Responsibilities: EMCC is looking to fill a full-time Mathematics Faculty member to begin August 18th, 2025. The chosen candidate will teach the equivalent of a full load of courses in Mathematics, which is 15 credits / contact hours with an emphasis on statistics. The Faculty member is responsible for maintaining expertise in current practices in mathematics curriculum, instruction, and assessment. Develop and apply assessment strategies that maximize the learning process and measure student learning outcomes.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in Mathematics or closely related field. Three to five years of work experience in mathematics instruction, including statistics, in Higher Education environments. Experience teaching a variety of formats, such as in person, online and hybrid.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in Mathematics. Previous teaching experience in a community college environment, including statistics and quantitative reasoning. Familiarity with math pathways and best practices in supporting student success. Prior experience with learning management systems (Brightspace, Blackboard, etc.) and MyMathLab (MML) as a learning tool. Program and curriculum development skills. Collaborative, creative and passionate about teaching and learning.
