POSITION TITLE: Electrical Lineworker Technology Fulltime Faculty
SALARY: Faculty Unit, Level III, Salary range: $42,767.86-$52,599.08. Salary and benefits commensurate with agreement between the Maine Community College System Board of Trustees and the Maine Education Association Faculty Unit.
QUALIFICATIONS: The successful applicant will have a broad knowledge of construction work and maintenance in the electric utility industry and must have a valid Class B CDL license in the State of Maine. This includes all aspects of work found in the lineworker industry, to include: safety, climbing, operating bucket and digger trucks, line construction, construction standards, setting poles, rigging, framing poles, wire stringing operations, and installing single and three phase transformers.
RESPONSIBILITIES: The Electrical Lineworker Adjunct Faculty will assist the program coordinator and one other adjunct in supervising and teaching students the basic skills required to become proficient as entry level lineworkers. It is expected that all student instruction will have safe work practices as the primary focus. Adjuncts will also help develop, administer, and correct student evaluations. Other duties as determined by the Electrical Lineworker Technology program director will be assigned as needed.
