We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Insurance Specialist to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in medical coding, insurance verification, and office administration within a healthcare setting.
*Responsibilities*
- Verify patient insurance coverage and benefits
- Review and process insurance claims
- Ensure accurate coding of medical procedures using ICD-10 codes
- Maintain patient records and confidentiality in compliance with HIPAA regulations
- Communicate with insurance companies to resolve claim issues
- Collaborate with medical staff to ensure proper documentation for billing purposes
- Assist in managing care coordination and patient scheduling
- Handle inquiries from patients regarding insurance matters
*Experience*
Required:
- Proficiency in ICD-10 coding and medical terminology
- Experience working in a medical or dental office setting
- Knowledge of insurance verification processes
- Familiarity with medical records management and medical coding
- Understanding of HIPAA regulations
