Shift: 5:00 PM - 1:00 AM, Sunday through Thursday
Position Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Production Assistant to join our manufacturing team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the cleaning our cracker slicing machine, sorting and tray crackers, and assisting our bakers in the mixing and baking process. This role requires a strong commitment to following standard operating procedures (SOPs), maintaining a clean work environment, and documenting work activities accurately.
Key Responsibilities:
- Machine Operation & Maintenance: Break down and clean the cracker slicing machine daily to ensure optimal performance and hygiene.
- Cracker Sorting: Sort and tray crackers according to quality standards and specifications.
- Baker Assistance: Assist bakers with mixing ingredients, and baking loaves as needed.
- Floater Duties: Perform various tasks across different areas of the production line as required.
- Clean-Up: Maintain a clean and organized workspace by following cleaning checklists and performing routine sanitation tasks.
- SOP Compliance: Adhere to all standard operating procedures and safety guidelines to ensure a consistent and high-quality product.
- Documentation: Accurately document work activities, any issues encountered.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in a manufacturing or food production environment preferred.
- Ability to follow detailed instructions and SOPs.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
- Capable of working independently as well as part of a team.
- Good organizational skills and ability to manage multiple tasks.
- Must be available to work the 5:00 PM - 1:00 AM shift, Sunday through Thursday.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to lift and move up to 50 pounds.
- Standing for extended periods and performing repetitive tasks.
- Handling cleaning agents and machinery with proper safety measures.
