York Middle School is seeking a qualified and enthusiastic coach to lead our Middle School Boys Lacrosse team for the Spring 2025 season. Responsibilities :
- Plan and conduct daily practices, including skill development, strategy instruction, and conditioning.
- Develop and implement game strategies and game plans.
- Motivate and inspire players to achieve their full potential.
- Teach and enforce proper sportsmanship and team values.
- Manage equipment and inventory.
- Attend coaches' meetings and other required meetings.
- Maintain accurate records of player attendance and performance.
- Supervise and ensure the safety of players during practices and games.
- Build and maintain positive relationships with players, parents, and school administrators.
- Adhere to all school and league rules and regulations. Qualifications :
- Experience coaching lacrosse at the middle school or youth level preferred.
- Knowledge of lacrosse rules, strategies, and techniques.
- Strong communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
- Ability to work effectively with young athletes.
- Passion for lacrosse and a commitment to player development.
- First Aid / CPR certification preferred.
