Purchasing Specialist
Primary Function :
The Purchasing Specialist has responsibility for the procurement of supplies and tactical, short-term buying for all regions. The position oversees the daily replenishment of stock items by placing orders, generating POs, utilizing the company credit card, and communicating with suppliers to support field operations.
Typical Duties :
- Generate POs to restock drill accessories and engage with company vendor base.
- Generate weekly supply consumable restock orders in conjunction with Stock Room Coordinators.
- Utilize company purchase card to obligate field purchases with outside vendors.
- Contact vendors to place orders for project specific materials such as blast hole sleeves and other consumables.
- Review repair quotes for department and rental equipment.
- Coordinate construction equipment rentals, track delivery, and return to vendor.
- Assist Stock Room Coordinators and Manufacturing supervisor with shipping and receiving as needed.
- Assist Stock Room Coordinators and Manufacturing supervisor with the inventory management of all standard and consumable supplies.
- Other duties as assigned.
