What are the responsibilities and job description for the Production and Sanitation Worker position at Maine Food Group?
MaineFood Group is a specialty foods processor and manufacturer. We partner with brands, retailers, restaurants, and farmers to craft and commercialized food products. We make salsa, sauce, dips, condiments, and pickled products.
MONDAY - FRIDAY from 8:00 am to 4:30pm.
We are looking for full or part-time applicants to join our team to help with daily tasks related to the production of food - operating the filling and labeling equipment and responsible for the cleaning and sanitation of our equipment and facility after production to close up the day.
Production is Monday through Thursday. Fridays are dedicated to facility sanitation, kitchen operations, production prep, and small batch productions.
This position is for someone who has attention to detail, understands the importance of food safety, and able to handle a fast pace work environment. Must be comfortable around fresh ingredients, cooking, equipment, and paperwork - and most importantly able and wiling to clean, sanitize, and dish pit as needed.
We are looking for individuals who are able to put their heads down to work hard and efficiently. We want people who take pride in showing up to work and grinding out what needs to be done.
Production tasks:
- Working the production line involves filling bottles/jars/pouches, boxing product, loading glass, taping boxes, etc.
- Understanding our quality control process and requirements.
- Understand the important of total units per day - maximizing our yield.
- Some Fridays are non production days and dedicated to kitchen prep or weekly/monthly sanitation tasks
Daily Sanitation:
- Remove trash, waste, spills in regular intervals during food prep and production.
- Wash, clean, sanitize all dishes and equipment pieces used on the day of production.
- Run chemical cleaning process on all food equipment used on the day of production. on production.
- Perform daily standard operating procedures for general sanitation cleanliness.
- Fill our paperwork and workflow tasks.
Schedule:
- Must be available to work Monday through Friday
- Full-time positions available, preferred.
- Part time is considered for an afternoon shift, please message if you are looking for part time.
Physical Requirements:
- Must be mobile and be able to travel/navigate throughout the facility.
- Must be able to frequently lift 50 pounds without assistance.
- Must be able to read documents and use equipment.
- Must be able to hear well enough to communicate with internal and external team members.
- Must be able to occasionally climb, stoop or kneel to perform routine tasks within the scope of the job.
- Must be able to grip/grab objects.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $18.00 - $22.00 per hour
