Associate Chief Medical Officer (ACMO)
The Associate Chief Medical Officer serves to carry out the responsibilities of the Chief Medical Officer by assignment as designated by the CMO, or on a pro tempore basis.
Assignments may include:
- Regulatory affairs
- Accreditation
- Acquisition and deployment of physician resources via contractual agreements
Other responsibilities may include:
- Strategic planning
- Quality oversight and initiatives
- Program development and implementation
- Engagement of senior leadership for the achievement of institutional and program goals
Requirements
- Medical degree required
- Active medical licensure or eligibility for medical licensure in State of New Hampshire
- Board Certification in primary area of practice
- Minimum of seven years of increasing responsibility as a physician leader
- Institutional experience within a complex healthcare organization
- Understanding of regulatory compliance, healthcare finance, strategic planning, and institutional process
- Demonstrated characteristics of fairness, integrity, and accountability
- Excellent communication and physician engagement skills based on trust and shared values
- Collaboration and professional interactions with all team members
- Maintains a physician identity and continuum of clinical practice
- Demonstrates the highest levels of ethical and professional conduct
