For a limited time MaineHealth is offering sign on bonuses for Clinical Nursing Assistants (CNA) :
0-1 years of experience eligible for $2,500 (full time)
1 years of experience eligible for $4,000 (full time)
Eligible candidates are hired (offer accepted) into a Full or Part time CNA position. Bonus amount prorated for Part time hires, per diem hires are ineligible.
Current MaineHealth member employees are ineligible; former MaineHealth Members are ineligible until greater than 6 months separation from employment.
Summary
Under supervision of a Registered Professional Nurse and according to established policies and procedures, uses the remote visual monitoring system to observe the patients and provide supervision to 10-12 patients at a time for a number of safety related reasons. The first line of action will be to verbally redirect the patient from engaging in any at risk behaviors. Next will be to summon the nursing staff if the patient requires assistance. Monitor staff will be knowledgeable and abide by patient and institutional confidentiality. The Companion Telesitter will maintain an orderly monitoring station, document events and any changes to observation expectations within the monitoring system. Consideration of the special needs and behaviors of specific patient populations is required. Will be used as a clinical resource to unlicensed telesitters. Will help to maintain lists for equal distribution of monitored patients.
The Certified Nursing Assistant Companion - Telesitter role uses the remote visual monitoring system to observe patients and provide supervision for safety related reasons.
Required Minimum Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSAs) :
Education : Completion of a Maine approved CNA program or documentation of other equivalent training required.
License / Certifications : Current applicable state(s) license as a Certified Nursing Assistant required. Current BLS certification required or must obtain within 30 days of start date.
Experience : CNA experience 0-6 months. On-the-job training provided.
