About the Role
This position plays a critical role in maintaining a safe and secure environment at Maine Maritime Academy. As a Campus Protection Officer, you will be responsible for patrolling the campus, responding to emergencies, and investigating incidents.
Key Responsibilities
- Patrol the campus to identify any security concerns or potential hazards.
- Respond promptly and professionally to customer requests for assistance, including parking questions or emergency situations.
- Investigate incidents and document the facts in a timely manner.
- Maintain a shift log detailing activities, events, or occurrences.
- Ensure weapons stored on campus are inventoried and secured in accordance with departmental procedures.
- Maintain and inspect life safety equipment as directed in accordance with department and manufacturer's protocols.
