Job Summary
The Campus Safety Officer II position requires an individual who can effectively patrol and monitor the campus to maintain a safe and secure environment. This includes identifying potential safety hazards and security concerns, responding to customer requests, and working with the campus community to promote safe work practices.
Key Responsibilities
* Patrol the campus by foot and vehicle to ensure all facilities are properly secured
* Respond to customer requests for assistance with student-related issues, parking questions, or emergency situations
* Work closely with Student Services to enforce Academy rules and maintain required records
* Provide emergency response support during working hours and from time to time off-work hours
* Assist residential life personnel with student-related issues
Requirements and Qualifications
* Associate's degree or three to five years relevant experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
* Supervisory experience preferred
* Ability to read and interpret safety documents, SOPs, and manuals
* Effective communication skills to interact with students, employees, residents, and state/local agencies
* Must be able to accurately document facts as reported and/or witnessed
