Manager – Research Program
Summary
This position is for applicants interested in joining the MaineHealth Institute for Research (MHIR), to support a portfolio of research projects in implementation science and to lead program evaluation efforts for population heath research projects and activities, as part of MHIR’s Center for Interdisciplinary Population & Health Research (CIPHR). The Research Program Manager may also be responsible for the supervision and oversight of other research staff supporting these projects. The role requires strong communication and collaboration skills, and independent and team-based work is expected. The Research Program Manager will also be responsible for fostering relationships with collaborators and stakeholders in the MaineHealth system and with community partners. The ideal candidate will have a background in health service research, implementation science, or program evaluation.
A fully remote (except from Alaska, California, Colorado, Nevada, Puerto Rico, or Washington D.C.) or flexible on-site/off-site work schedule from our Westbrook, ME offices is available for this position. There is an expectation of availability for meetings that can occur between 8:30 am and 4:30 pm Eastern time.

Required Minimum Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- Education: Bachelor’s degree and three years’ experience; Masters preferred
- License/Certifications: Appropriate licensure is required
- Experience: Demonstrated experience in administration and the management of staff
- Visual acuity, manual dexterity, math skills and research acumen required
- Skills should include ability to troubleshoot issues with regard to the program or office.
- Must have good organizational and personnel management skills, communication skills, both personal and written, business planning acumen.
- Must have a working knowledge of administrative policy and/or federal regulations e.g. DOL, USCIS, Health care, Research or other applicable field
- Current best practice with associated technologies
