Summary
This position is for someone interested in joining a research coordination team within the Center for Clinical & Translational Science at the MaineHealth Institute for Research, Scarborough, ME. This position provides clinical research coordination support primarily for our Researching COVID to Enhance Recovery (RECOVER) Study. This team contributes to biomedical science by facilitating clinical research – ensuring studies are conducted in a manner to protect research participant safety and promote the ethical conduct of research throughout the MaineHealth network. Under the supervision of the Research Program Director, Dr. Ivette Emery, the Clinical Research Coordinator I will facilitate studies by ensuring all study activities are conducted according to the study protocol and study manuals following Good Clinical Practice and all applicable research regulations. The Clinical Research Coordinator I is expected to effectively collaborate with study Principal Investigators, other study staff, and external and internal regulatory bodies. Strong organizational and communication skills as well as attention to detail are necessary for success. This role requires general knowledge of clinical research coordination and the regulatory requirements for clinical research as well as initiative, independent judgment, and problem solving skills..
This position is located at our Scarborough, Maine location, with some opportunity for flexible work.

Required Minimum Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- Education: Associate’s Degree preferred.
- License/Certifications: Current certification by the Association of Clinical Research Professionals or Society of Clinical Research Associates preferred or required within four years of start date.
