Research Data Analyst I
Summary
This position is for applicants interested in joining an analytics team who are working with investigators in the MaineHealth Institute for Research’s Center for Interdisciplinary Population & Health Research (CIPHR), which is contributing to research in the areas of clinical and population health. The Research Data Analyst I will provide qualitative, quantitative and/or mixed-methods analysis for investigators in CIPHR. The Data Analyst will collect and analyze data in support of the assigned project and/or department. The Research Data Analyst I will be knowledgeable about research process and will be expected to manage data, clean data, and calculate descriptive statistics. Training and growth opportunities for additional analysis skills will be provided, as needed. Applicants should be interested in working on diverse projects across clinical trials, observational studies, community engagement projects, and program evaluation. Applicants should possess strong communication skills and a commitment to working with a research team to meet project goals. Upon successful completion of onboarding and coaching, this position will work with supervision to use methodologies consistent with established policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements affecting the department. Proficiency in R/Posit statistical analysis software is preferred, as analysis is primarily conducted in R/Posit. Demonstrated proficiency in another coding-based statistical software (e.g. Python, Stata, or SAS) and willingness to learn R/Posit may be substituted for R/Posit experience.
A fully remote (except from Alaska, California, Colorado, Nevada, Puerto Rico, or Washington D.C.) or flexible on-site/off-site work schedule from our Westbrook, ME offices is available for this position. There is an expectation of availability for meetings that can occur between 8:30 am and 4:30 pm Eastern time.
Required Minimum Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- Education: Bachelor’s Degree or relevant work experience required.
- License/Certifications: N/A
- Experience: One year of experience analyzing data preferred. Experience working with large clinical and/or administrative claims databases preferred.
