If so, the University of Southern Maine is seeking applicants for an Admissions Counselor II.

Admissions Counselors educates first-year, adult, transfer, and graduate students, as well as parents / family members, and school counselors, about the University of Southern Maine and the college selection, application, and admissions process. This position specifically focuses on transfer admissions and working with the adult student population. Extensive travel may be required including evenings and weekends, during various time periods.

This is a full-time position on our Gorham Campus with an annual salary of up to $43,951. The work schedule is based primarily during business hours and may require evening and weekend on-call responsibilities.

Required Qualifications :

  • Bachelor's degree with one-year previous work experience in college admissions
  • Must hold a valid motor vehicle driver's license with proper insurance compliant with Maine requirements.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to lift and transport moderately heavy loads.
