The Assistant Branch Manager directs the day-to-day operations of the Branch, ensuring it meets the organization's financial, operational, service, and growth plans. With limited lending authority and the collaborative nature of working with the Teller Operations Supervisor, this role is also responsible for ensuring that member service is being handled accurately, smoothly, and in a professional manner. Responsibilities
The Assistant Branch Manager directs the day-to-day operations of the Branch, ensuring it meets the organization's financial, operational, service, and growth plans. With limited lending authority and the collaborative nature of working with the Teller Operations Supervisor, this role is also responsible for ensuring that member service is being handled accurately, smoothly, and in a professional manner. In addition to assisting Maine Savings members as it pertains to teller transactions and exemplary customer service while making a positive difference in members lives by supporting day-to-day financial needs and transactions, the successful candidate can expect to:
- Underwrite consumer loans.
- Supervise, coach, and motivate the Teller Operations Supervisor and ensure adequate staffing coverage for the branch in order to meet or exceed all cross-selling and other performance goals.
- Monitor branch operating results relative to established objectives and established objectives.
- Maintain communications with other branches; attends scheduled management meetings in the absence of the Branch Manager. Conducts staff meetings no less than bi-weekly under guidance of the Branch Manager, and ensures communication is passed on to staff as appropriate.
- Represent the Branch and Maine Savings appropriately in its relationship with members, sponsor organization(s), suppliers, other financial institutions, and similar groups.
- Coordinate with the facilities manager for building and grounds maintenance and safety.
- Monitor branch activities and training requirements to ensure staff are in compliance with established credit union policies and procedures.
- Assists the Branch Manager in evaluating staff performance and documents performance reviews.
