Kettle Room Operator
This position is responsible for the mixing and sorting of ingredients, set-up, operation, and disassembling of equipment used for production by mechanical means to produce both work in process and finished goods products. This job may include the loading, unloading of materials, packaging and finished goods products from racks or pallets. This position is a dual role working production needs then transferring into sanitation as directed by the plant production supervisor. This position has the responsibility to comply with Safety work rules at all times as well as an obligation to reinforce Safety as a Core Value.
- Ability to apply good judgement and understanding to carry out detailed instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form
- Ability to communicate production issues, counts, and weights to supervision or lead personnel
- Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations
- Knowledge of GMP and safe food manufacturing practices a plus
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is required to stand for extended periods of time, bend or move utilizing proper lifting techniques, reach with hands and arms to handle, or feel objects, tools or controls and climb or balance.
The employee must occasionally lift and / or move up to 55 pounds.
