Director of Ferry Service

This position oversees all operations for the Maine Ferry service, including contract procurement and invoicing. It is responsible for managing internet infrastructure with a focus on ticketing services, as well as ensuring staff receive proper training.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage operation of all internet infrastructure, including ticketing services
• Ensure proper training of all staff
• Oversee security in accordance with the Facility Security plan through the Facility Security Officer

The role works closely with the U.S. Coast Guard to ensure compliance and safety with Code of Federal Regulations. It also collaborates with island stakeholders to maintain optimal customer service levels.

Requirements

• Progressive experience in managing programs
• Strong leadership, communication, and teamwork skills

Prior experience in the maritime industry or possession of a Bachelor's degree are considered advantageous. A minimum of 10 years of senior management experience is required, along with experience managing an operating budget of at least $15 Million annually.
