What are the responsibilities and job description for the Multifamily Loan Officer I position at Maine State Housing Authority?
Primary Purpose of Position: The Multifamily Loan Officer I will provide underwriting technical and analytical support, analyze data, prepare reports, maintain financial records and respond to customers and partner inquiries for the multifamily development team.
Education and Experience: Education and a minimum of four years of experience working in an administrative role or a combination of six years of experience and training. Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Word and Excel is required.
Core Functions:
Provide Multifamily and Supportive technical support to the multifamily underwriting team
o Work with the multifamily team to develop training materials for internal and external partners
o Assist in interpreting rules pertaining to various government programs
o Assist in the processing of requisitions, subsidy layering reviews, and environmental reviews
o Assist with the preparation of funding requests for loan committee
o Review threshold criteria on applications
o Draft introductory presentations to loan committee
o Assist in creating Loan Committee funding request packages
o Coordinate with Legal to send out Notices to Proceed
o Order and be responsible for receiving appraisals and processing invoices for payment
o Coordinate Section 3 requirements
o Provide financial information to legal for FedHOME and HTF Agreements
o Assist with construction loan closing statements/reimbursements at CLC
o Work with Legal on construction requisitions, including the tracking worksheets
o Coordinate BABA compliance with Construction Services and Developer
Oversee and process public inquiries and requests for multifamily program information
Performed detailed record keeping and data entry of project files
Provide administrative support
Other duties as assigned
The starting hourly rate for this position is $24.2951 (annual $50,534), plus a comprehensive benefits package, including, but not limited to, health, dental and vision, retirement options with employer match, life insurance, short and long-term disability, employee assistance, generous earned time and all major federal holidays. Employment is eligible for the Public Service Loan Forgiveness Program.
