The Car Host/Ticket Gift Shop Associate plays a vital role in creating a welcoming and enjoyable experience for customers. This position involves assisting customers with their purchases and maintaining the overall appearance of the gift shop and railroad cars. The ideal candidate will be enthusiastic, customer-focused, and possess excellent communication skills to effectively engage with a diverse clientele.
Duties
- Greet customers warmly and assist them.
- Process sales transactions accurately using a cash register and handle cash and credit card payments.
- Maintain the cleanliness and organization of the gift shop, railroad cars ensuring both are appealing and well-stocked.
- Answer inquiries with professionalism, providing information about train rides and gift shop.
- Collaborate with team members to achieve sales improve customer satisfaction.
- Assist in inventory management by tracking stock levels and reporting discrepancies as needed.
Skills
- Strong customer service skills with a passion for helping others.
- Bilingual abilities are a plus for communicating effectively with diverse customers.
- Experience in retail sales with a solid understanding of retail math principles.
- Proficient in operating cash registers and handling transactions efficiently.
