Are you an experienced and enthusiastic salesperson who is passionate about delivering results for your customers while working to sustain local journalism in Maine?
The outside Media Sales Consultant contributes to the Maine Trust for Local News advertising revenue budget expectations (for print, digital, events, sponsorship opportunities, and other company initiatives as they arise) by achieving monthly sales goals for the sales zone / territory. You’ll have the opportunity to professionally present and sell advertising and marketing opportunities into our portfolio of products and services to existing and potential customers.
Who is Maine Trust for Local News? We are a network of daily and weekly print publications with the largest digital publishing reach in the state. Our publications include the Portland Press Herald, Kennebec Journal, Morning Sentinel, Sun Journal, Times Record, Forecaster papers and more! Our sales team members can sell seamlessly across all publications within the network to deliver the best results for our clients.
Qualifications
- Passionate about working with local businesses
- Previous and proven sales experience – fluent in digital media
- Familiar with Excel and other Microsoft Office programs
- Ability to deliver results in a fast-paced deadline-sensitive environment
- Strong computer skills
- Reliable transportation and a valid driver’s license
