Maine Veterans’ Homes - Augusta is currently accepting applications for our next CNA class. By enrolling in our CNA program, you will gain an invaluable introduction into the healthcare industry, while providing high-quality care to our Veterans, their spouses, and Gold Star Parents.
The CNA class begins March 3, 2025, and runs through May 8, 2025. The class provides a combination of classroom instruction and clinical experience. Graduates who pass the Maine CNA competency exam are qualified to pursue full-time or part-time 2nd and 3rd shift employment opportunities at MVH-Augusta. Employees are required to sign a promissory note committing to work for MVH for 1 year.

Required Experience :
Requires proficiency in spoken and written English.
Ability to understand and respond to residents’ needs and inquiries in English is required.
Ability to effectively understand and communicate verbally and in writing, in English, is required.
Basic computer skills
Participants must meet the following criteria to be accepted in the 'Earn While You Learn' CNA Training Program :
Complete interview with Clinical Instructor
Complete a Pre-Hire Employment Screening
Complete CASAS Reading / Comprehension
