What are the responsibilities and job description for the Receptionist - Part Time/Per Diem position at Maine Veterans' Homes?
Maine Veterans’ Homes is a mission-driven, independent nonprofit organization, with six nursing homes throughout Maine. We are dedicated to serving Maine’s Veterans and families and take great pride in our mission to "care for those who served".
These are exciting times at our Augusta Home as we just recently moved into our new state-of-the-art facility. MVH-Augusta is the first of its kind in Maine to deliver long-term care through the small house model.
We have an opening for a part-time weekend Receptionist. This position will be scheduled every-other weekend, 8:30am to 5pm, as well as some holidays.
Duties include:
- Following infection control guidelines for screening employees at the start of their shift
- Answering internal and external calls and forwarding to the appropriate party
- Providing administrative support such as data entry, photocopying, creating correspondence, etc.
- Other duties and tasks as assigned

Required Experience:
Knowledge of the proper use of modern office equipment, including telephone system, facsimile, photocopier, calculator, postage meter.- Experience with word processing and data entry.
- Excellent customer service skills
