The Work: Patient-Centric Approach: Conduct interviews to obtain comprehensive patient history. Provide clear and empathetic patient instructions regarding testing procedures. Clinical Expertise: Showcase your clinical skills by performing basic and routine vision screening examinations. Administer eye medications and lend support during minor office procedures. Documentation and Care: Document care provided, testing results, and patient responses with meticulous attention to detail. Practice Maintenance: Play a key role in maintaining the cleanliness and organization of exam rooms and ophthalmic instruments. Ensure supplies are well-stocked to support a smooth workflow. Administrative Support: Contribute to the efficiency of the practice by assisting with clerical duties, including scheduling and patient registration. You Bring: Certifications: Certified as an Ophthalmic Assistant (COA) or Ophthalmic Technician (COT) by the Joint Commission on Allied Health Personnel in Ophthalmology (JCAHPO) preferred. Basic Life Support (BLS) Healthcare Provider certification is preferred.
