Job Description:
MaineGeneral Medical Center's Neurology team is seeking a per diem Physician who has a specific interest in electroencephalography (EEG) work.
In the role, the Physician:
- Must be proficient in the interpretation of electroencephalography.
- Will provide EEG interpretation on an as-needed basis, up to 35 days per year.
- Must be available from 8am-4pm during scheduled workdays (no weekends required).
- Will perform EEG Interpretation remotely, reviewing with MGMC provided software.
- Will document EEG interpretations through transcription, ensuring accuracy of information.
- Will communicate directly to the ordering physician through telecommunication services when EEG findings are emergency. (Reporting findings only. If treatment needed, recommend neurology consultation through other available services.)
- Will send notice of service rendered to the designated individual, to include specific information.
