MaineHealth Behavioral Health is seeking a Board-Certified Psychiatrist to serve as Medical Director of Addiction Services.
The successful candidate will be BC/BE in Addiction Medicine, with administrative, leadership and research experience desired.
Maine Behavioral Healthcare (MBH) is Northern New England's leading integrated behavioral healthcare system, serving predominantly southern, western, central, and Mid-Coast Maine.
Our comprehensive behavioral health service line includes outpatient treatment, crisis services, Crisis Stabilization units, as well as 5 Assertive Community Treatment (ACT) teams.
This initiative is part of MBH's role as the lead agent for developing a statewide behavioral health service line for MaineHealth.
We are a fully integrated and growing system of behavioral healthcare, recognized as a regional and national model for treating people with serious mental health issues.
MBH offers a broad range of clinical programs and services across 30-plus locations throughout the state.

The Medical Director will oversee the development of a Substance Use Disorders Service for MBH and the Behavioral Health Service Line for MaineHealth.
Responsibilities include:
- Development and oversight of clinical programs and practices
- Academic programs, including graduate and undergraduate medical education
- Research and quality improvement efforts
This position is located in beautiful Southern Maine, just two hours north of Boston.
