Lead In-House Repair Technician
Classification: Non-exempt status
Reports to: Warehouse Manager

Position Summary:
We are excited to introduce a full-time opportunity for a Lead In-House Technician to oversee the repair and refurbishing of hot tubs. In this role, you will utilize your technical expertise to handle plumbing and electrical work, along with painting and woodworking. You will play a vital role in assisting your colleagues within the Service Department, providing solutions to customer inquiries both in the field and over the phone. Beyond technical duties, you will maintain an efficient workflow in the shop, support fellow technicians with diagnostics and repairs, and help us exceed our department goals.

Primary Duties Include (but not limited to):
- Repair and refurbishment of hot tubs
- Provides exceptional customer service to both colleagues and external customers
- Works up quotes on repair/refurbishment jobs
- Provides final inspection before product goes out the door
- Maintains shop schedule and workflow/ assists with pre-delivery workflow
- Assists other technicians in the shop with diagnostics
- Suggests ways to improve department efficiencies
- Maintains shop equipment and inventory of department tools and assets
- Works with Service Technicians and Service Coordinators when needed via phone or in person
- Provides occasional outside service work
- Attends weekly Service Department meetings (Monday mornings)
Requirements
Qualifications: our ideal candidate will possess the following –
Five years relevant work experience; carpentry, electrical, plumbing experience desirable
High school diploma and/or equivalent
Solid technical abilities
Excellent customer service skills
Solid communication skills – both verbal and written
Ability to multi-task and work in fast-paced environment
Strong problem solving and trouble-shooting skills
Positive, ‘can-do’ attitude
Ability to work well independently
Ability to be a good team player and assist in other departments as needed
Ability to adapt to changing deadlines and priorities
Ability to work extended hours as needed
Physical Requirements:
Ability to lift up to 100 lbs.
Regular lifting, kneeling & bending
Ability to lay on a “creeper” under a tub to do repair work
Position requires getting wet on a regular basis
Hours:
Minimum 40-hour work week with core hours 7:00am – 3:30pm (30-minute lunch)
Overtime available depending on the time of year
Salary : $24 - $26
