Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and knowledgeable SQF Practitioner to join our team. This role is essential in ensuring that our quality management systems meet the rigorous standards set by the Safe Quality Food (SQF) program. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in quality assurance type roles or previous SQF experience. As an SQF Practitioner, you will play a critical role in maintaining compliance and enhancing the overall quality and safety within our warehouse.
Responsibilities
- Responsible for developing ongoing evaluation and improvement related to all aspects of the SQF and prerequisite programs to ensure effective program maintenance.
- Review all SQF-related SOPs on a bi-annual basis and coordinate with other teams within the warehouse to ensure all SOPs are up to date.
- Perform daily monitoring activities on SQF programs including Verification, Validation, Audit, and Recordkeeping to ensure facility’s continuous compliance with SQF code requirements and performing monthly inspections and internal audits.
- Maintains Log /Action Plans of required corrective actions for non-conformances and ensures closure of these issues with reasoning
- Formulate and prepare appropriate reports, charts and graphs indicating the status of the SQF management system and any projects associated with it
- Inform management of all significant non-conformities and take action to maintain the integrity of the SQF requirements
- Participate in food safety and other regulatory audits and Schedule and conduct Food Safety and HACCP meetings
- Other duties within the warehouse as requested
Qualifications and Skills:
- Experience in Food Industry / Food Packing
- Completion of SQF Practitioner and HACCP training
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Word and Excel
- Self-starter who relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals
- Demonstrates consistency, flexibility and commitment to meet deadlines
- Excellent negotiation and issue resolution skills
- Ability to communicate effectively with a variety of individuals
- Proven ability to juggle multiple tasks

Pay: $50,000.00 - $60,000.00 per year
