Summary
Champion Steel, a leading Regional Steel Service Center, is seeking an energetic leader to build and expand its business across the country. This profitable, high margin, niche Company is poised for growth with the right leader to “Champion” these efforts.
Recently acquired by Mainline Metals Inc., a diversified, Philadelphia based Steel Service Center with 38 years of proven entrepreneurial success, you will lead and develop all aspects of this business including building and mentoring an inside Sales Team, establishing Marketing Programs, maintaining existing and identifying new Vendor relationships, overseeing the Purchasing function, building Brand Awareness as well as establishing the Company’s online presence including leveraging social media platforms all with guidance and assistance of the corporate office. The ideal candidate will be based out of our Philadelphia headquarters, but will require frequent in person contact with members of your Remote Sales Team, customers, and prospects, in addition to back-office support in Philadelphia, PA.
Equity in the business will be offered to the candidate selected for this role.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Commitment to becoming an expert in the Steel Decking and Roofing market
- Drive informed decision making and staff management through data metrics, KPI’s, and a constant awareness on the pulse of the business.
- Prioritize customer retention, while prospecting for new accounts, in addition to sales of complimentary products distributed by the Mainline family of companies
- Effective management and forecasting of the inventory requirements of the business
- Increase margins through effective sales tactics and purchasing strategies
- Develop a pipeline of new accounts through networking, incentives, and industry trends
- Build, inspire, and develop your team to be their best selves and motivate them to be driven professionals by creating a positive and engaging work environment
- Refine and implement business strategies that will serve as a roadmap for success
