This position is for our Savannah, GA location

Position Summary: Serve in the key role of providing a variety of warehouse skills, including the safe and efficient operation of forklifts, inventory management, order picking, material handling along with shipping and receiving, all aimed at facilitating smooth warehouse operations and ensuring timely loading and unloading of customers products.

Responsibilities:

• Operate various types of forklifts, including reach trucks, clamp trucks, and standard forklifts.
• Safely load and unload materials from trucks and storage areas according to customer’s requirements.
• Move materials within the warehouse using forklifts and other heavy equipment.
• Assist with shipping and receiving tasks, including checking inventory and verifying orders.
• Collaborate with Warehouse Supervisors to ensure efficient warehouse operations.
• Organize customers’ products by type or lot numbers.
• Perform routine maintenance checks on forklifts and report any issues or malfunctions.
• Adhere to safety protocols and maintain a clean and organized work area.
• Other related duties as assigned by your supervisor.

Requirements:

• Proven experience operating forklifts in a warehouse or similar environment.
• Familiarity with warehouse management systems and processes
• Ability to accurately read and interpret work orders and shipping documents.
• Strong knowledge of materials handling techniques and best practices.
• Proficient in order picking and inventory management procedures.

Physical Requirements:

• Regularly required to sit, stand, walk for prolonged periods of time or repeatedly get on and off a forklift.
• Requires a full range of body movements including the use of hands to finger, handle, and fell objects such as computer equipment or machinery levers.
• Regularly bending, reaching and crouching
• Have a command of all senses specifically sight, hearing, touch and smell.
• Vision abilities requirements include close vision, depth perception, the ability to adjust focus and ability to work in low light environments.
• Ability to maneuver inside of loaded cargo containers
• Ability to work in high places as needed.
• Lifts to 50 pounds regularly.
• Exposed to a non-climate-controlled warehouse and outside environments with heat and humidity up to 115 degrees Fahrenheit
• Exposure to dust, moderate noise levels and moving equipment

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $18.00 - $20.00 per hour
