Community Support Coach/ DSP

Mains’l Services has an opening for a part-time Community Support Coach. As a Community Support Coach, you will have the opportunity to work directly with the people that are supported- assisting with transportation, partaking in workout routines, baking, attending sporting events, going out to eat and so much more. Community Support Coaches will have the opportunity to help others in building lasting skills and abilities through coaching and role modeling. You will work in an environment that is active, fun, and make a difference in the lives of others.

Some of your day-to-day work may include:

• Supporting the people, you work with and your co-workers to gain skills and knowledge through ongoing teaching, coaching, and role modeling.
• Gaining personal and professional skills and knowledge through ongoing training and development.
• Collaborating with the people you work with and your co-workers and your supervisor to problem solve and create a positive culture.
• Clear and accurate documentation  
• Providing assistance or support with activities of daily living in the home and community based on the needs and preferences of the people you work with.
  • This may include transportation, medical and dental appointments, cooking, cleaning, medication administration
• Using your excellent listening and communication skills.
• Supporting others to realize their hopes and dreams.
• Having fun!

Pay: $20.00 an hour
