As an Independent Living Skills (ILS) Program Specialist, you will work with adult’s one-on-one who have set goals to achieve, specializing your coaching and training to their individual needs.
The ILS Program Specialist must be kind, patient, honest and reliable to succeed in this position.
We are looking to hire a full-time (5 days a week/ 40 hours) ILS Program Specialist. The hours are 8 am – 6 pm Monday through Friday.

Pay Scale: $17.00, $17
Starting Rate: $17.00 ($17.25 after 90 days and completion of new hire training)

- Self-advocating skills: gaining confidence to use their voice based on their values and personal preference
- Money management: staying on budget/creating budgets
- Community/ social confidence: seeking new connections, attending community events, gaining self-confidence in social environments
- Cooking skills: food prep, cooking temperatures, cutting, chopping, food storage, kitchen safety, etc.
- Cleaning/ basic home maintenance: laundry, sweeping, mopping, dusting, mopping, organizing, etc.
- Making/ going to doctors appointments and medication pickup
- Support the College Plus department if needed
- Any additional personal goals
The perfect person for this amazing opportunity would have the:
- Ability to work with limited to no supervision.
- Provide mentorship, coaching and act as a role model.
- Ability to communicate clearly and speak/ act professionally in a variety of settings.
- Ability to navigate conflict and provide resolutions.
- Ability to manage your time and identify priorities.
Requirements:
- 18 years of age or older
- Ability to pass a background check through the Department of Justice (DOJ)
- Ability to pass a driving record check thorough the Department of Motor Vehicles
- Must have an available vehicle with a valid driver’s license and current auto insurance
