Mains’l Services is seeking a Senior Accountant to be a part of our growing finance department.
Under the direct supervision of the Accounting Manager, this position prepares accounting for our California departments in the areas of investments, fixed assets, cash management, and general ledger. This rewarding position offers opportunities to work collaboratively with internal leaders, utilizing or advancing your skills in billing insurance, billing procedures and reimbursements.

Mains’l Services is seeking a Senior Accountant to be a part of our growing finance department.
Under the direct supervision of the Accounting Manager, this position prepares accounting for our California departments in the areas of investments, fixed assets, cash management, and general ledger. This rewarding position offers opportunities to work collaboratively with internal leaders, utilizing or advancing your skills in billing insurance, billing procedures and reimbursements.
Essential functions:
- Recoverability testing of recorded assets (A/R aging analysis)
- Accelerate cash flow by ensuring all eligible accounts are promptly and accurately billed.
- Proactively follow up on pending/delinquent accounts
- Ensure reasonableness of data by comparing multiple databases
- Timely reconciliation of all balance sheet accounts and proactively suggest adjustments/process improvements.
- Prepare monthly budgets for multiple departments and provide timely variance explanations.
- Experience in billing insurance, Medicaid reimbursement, and hospital/healthcare billing procedure.
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting
- Pass a hands-on Accounting skills test.
- Work in person a minimum of 2 days per week
- Effective communicator, both oral and written
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Knowledge of excel
- Ability to multi-task and prioritize
- Ability to pass a background check through the Department of Justice
- Ability to pass a driving record check though the Department of Motor Vehicles
